I'd doubt food is cheaper in CR than US.

    Milk $3 a gallon here or 75c a liter. 90c/liter
    A 2 liter Coke is 99c. $2~$2.50
    A dozen eggs is $1.50. $2.50~$3

How much are these items in CR chilidog?

Couldn't help myself, I agree life here is not cheaper, it actually is a bit more expensive.

    2 liter Coke
    COCA COLA
    REFRESCO GASEOSO REG.PLAST.DES
    botella 2 l
    Precio: Ē1,350 = $2.60

    1 gallon milk
    DOS PINOS
    LECHE HOMOGENIZADA 2%
    envase 3.785l
    Precio: Ē1,960 = $4

    A dozen eggs
    AutoMercado
    HUEVO ROJO JUMBO
    kilo
    Precio: Ē1,635 = $3.20

These are copy/pasted from the grocery store's website. It's a lot more expensive to eat in CR. A lot. The 99 cent menu at Wendys or McDonalds is the $2 menu here. You'll pay about double what you pay in the states for imported food and restaurants.

American style shopping in latin america is gonna cost more than usa (dollar is weak). Shopping like a local is much cheaper. Sadly I donīt do this.

Course it's cheaper. But how much rice and beans can a man eat 3 times a day?
