    tommy hanson

guy is one of the best pitchers around...and is rarely talked about...not a braves fan...lifelong new englander and sox fan...but i keep up with baseball and the draft/minor leagues through baseball america.....this guy was pretty heralded coming up through the system...and still doesnt get any love.....his frame and his stuff remind me of halladay....hes like a middle class roy halladay

I think he gets his due. He is exceptionally talented and still pretty young

If he stays healthy, he'll be all over baseball in the next few years. Its tough to get the spotlight off of the Phillies pitchers and Lincecum in the NL.

Josh Johnson deserves more hype than Hanson in my opinion.

i agree that its tough to get your due in the nl with the phillies staff and lincecum....and i agree that johnson deserves tons of attention.....but to me hanson is right there....and he just kind of reminds of halladay right down to the beard....guy who alot of people didnt appreciate earlier on in his career....

i appreciate tommy hanson in my Fantasy league, especially since he pitches like an ace and i didn't have to draft him anywhere near an ace round

I can think of at least 10 pitchers in the NL who I would rather have on my team than Hanson.

i dont doubt it at all......especially with jurrjens pitching the way he is.....they are in no rush to bring him up...but imagine they bring up teheran and hes as advertised....scary....even if they work him out of the pen later in the year

the mariners could have something special soon with felix, pineda, and danny hultzen

Hanson career stats in first 3 years:

    426.3 IP
    392 K
    3.02 ERA
    31-19 (W-L)

He averages almost a strikeout per inning and has an ERA of just above 3.00.

Name one manager in MLB who wouldn't want this guy pitching for his team?

yeppp.....been throwing around the halladay comparison for a couple of years now....he pitched against my sox a couple years back around this time in interleague...he was tough.....im not just making this post because he was snubbed(but he was)....but man....i was at the sox game yesterday watching lackey....and just dreaming of handing his contract to hanson and putting him in our rotation

hmm, i can see six which I think a clearly better than Hanson, after that there is a group from about 7-14 which Hanson is in that you can make arguments about where they stand.
