I had Civics when the new Speaker was inducted so they made us watch, and I can remember them talking about Twitter, Jack Layton's hip replacements, how cool Sydney Crosby is (for 10 minutes followed by something along the lines of this ceremony will be soaked in hockey) but they didn't say crap about the new Speaker! The only thing I know is that he wants to clean up the rowdiness and cursing in the proceedings, but that's only because the teacher said so, which is sad because it means I can't care about our government despite really wanting to."
