What the hell happened with the Pens, they backed out cause they thought Jagr's heart wasn't in it? Then to the Flyers

I don't know if he will fit in well there. I guess we'll see. I think this will be a decision he regrets.

Jaromir Jagr is heading back to Pennsylvania but it won't be with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Instead, the veteran forward has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Jagr has spent the last three seasons playing in Russia and engaged in a long back-and-forth with NHL teams, including the Penguins.
However, Pittsburgh withdrew a $2-million US, one-year deal after growing tired of waiting for a response.
Jagr started his NHL career with the Penguins in 1990 and went on to put up 646 goals and 1,599 points in 1,273 career games.

2 mil is way too much for an over the hill prick like Jags. He is just an old man now... Flyers will regret this move.

Good call Deuce. I woke up logged onto the comp and saw Jagr to Pens on tsn.ca, a usually credible site. I will eat my crow now

Why would anybody want him. Who knows when he might just quit again. And yes, going to play in Europe instead of the NHL is quitting in my book.

I think that in a few more years, Jagr might become a good player.

Bad signing, unless he comes with a stunt double that plays defense.

He is top 10 in points all time. He is still better than 75% in the league at 39.

Good signing. I laugh at everyone in this thread that thinks he's over the hill...look at his stats from the KHL. Good to have another veteran presence on the ice besides Pronger.

A point per game player (What Jagr was) in the KHL is nothing special. Most AHL rejects who move over to the KHL are at least point per game players in that league. Brandon Bochenski, a perennial AHL/NHL platoon player who has been waived or traded from 7 different NHL teams over the last 5 years (guy was a bum) scored 45 points in 40 games in the KHL last season, also had 4 more goals than Jagr in 9 less games.

Talbot will be good to pick up some of the character we lost in losing Richards.

Jagr, Pronger in the same locker room bizarre, that same locker room being black and Orange has me wondering what planet I woke up on.

    Bizarro.

Wow, I'll be intrigued to see what his skill level will be at when he returns to the league. He used to be one of the greatest NHL players of all time.

Liked the Carter move, 50/50 on Richards, but I can say I do not like the Jagr signing, rather they spend that money to sign a younger player
