What would be so great about it being bumped? Currently he is really overrated, he didnt say anything about his future.

Not sure how he can be the most over-rated player in baseball when he has not even played a full season yet, so we don't even have any idea how well he is going to be. But according to all the scouts he is going to be one of the best. Stop being so reactionary.

Not quite sure what that is supposed to mean. Some of the greatest pitchers and offensive players 'didn't have it' for their first few years in the majors. Heyward has been here what, a year now.

It takes time to 'have it'

it doesn't take time to have it, to be elite. i am not talking about above average players...they are all over. champions and hall of fame players have it and are born winners. case and point, lebron james doesn't have anything but physical god given abilities that anyone could do what has done so far with. he just doesn't have what it takes to sacrifice his entire life to be the best in world, it isn't happening ever. he is a great player, he will never be the best and it has nothing to do with any limitations other than himself. heyward will never be elite.

I will bet anyone anything that he won't be the player he was hyped-up to be. I think he'll have a solid JD Drew type of career but will never be a superstar. His K rate is way too high and he doesn't hit for enough power to make up for it.

he's 22 years old - hitters dont fully develop until around age 27.

317 career minor league hitter, and 264 so far in the majors.

what is "it" that you havent seen from heyward in his whopping year and a half in the majors?

as a rookie (21 years old) this guy hit 277 and has 91walks. that is excellent plate discipline for his age, and again - several more years until he fully develops.

heyward will be in a few all star games. rushing to judgement in june on 22 year old hitter is comical.

what young slugger doesnt K a lot? the fact that he walked 91 times last year is a great sign for a young slugger.

you can really take advantage of people in dynasty Fantasy leagues. people like the buy into unknown players and you can get good value for them. on the other hand, you have to be sure not to trade players like hosmer. who will be an mvp player in a few years.
