This has to be the worst series of talking point arguments all added together into one. Great, they get some random dude to talk all 'hip and shiz' and say all the same crap that McCain and the Republicans have been spewing for months - with really no base at all for any of the claims. In fact - look at the last 8 years. GG.

If you want to read up on 'socialism' - check the Socialist Party's platform. They make Democrats look like Republicans.

I believe first he made buying a big truck or SUV that does less than 10 mpg tax free for small businesses. Then he invaded Iraq so we can get cheap oil to help small business owners with big trucks and SUV's pay for the gas bills. This brilliant economic plan raised the price of oil from $20 dollars a barrel to $150. Now the small business owners can't fill their big trucks with gas and Detroit auto industry needs $100 billions in government bailouts to help them stay in business.

    Brilliant!

    Another clueless puppet.

He did not invade Iraq for oil, where is the oil at? Why were we paying 4 dollars a gallon if he invaded for oil? Why don't we even use Iraqi oil? Oil was 4 a gallon because of consumption and demand. Auto needs cash because of the UAW and rediculous wages these nit wits were paid to put a bolt into an engine block for 8 hours a day. They were making 35 an hour and had the best benefits possible. Now demand is way down but these nit wits are still getting paid and the auto companies aren't. They have no money to pay them. Restructuring needs to be done in order to save them and it will be impossible with unions in place.

The reason Obama is leading is because of Bush....if people knew what Bush's plan was....and how McCain's plan is different...if it is different.... then McCain would be leading right now...

Come to Detroit and actually know what is going on before you pass judgment. You have no clue about the auto industry. Toyota and Honda don't need bailouts because they don't have ridiculous wages and unions in place. The big 3 have union wages and regulations in place dating back 50 years.

Because it was the best interest at the time for our country. The execution was solid, the plan of returning home was a debacle. Ask yourself why most democrats voted for this war as well. This war had nothing to do with oil. If it did, we would be paying .40 cents a gallon instead of 4.

Gulf War, Hussein invaded Kuwait. Was put to an immediate halt.

Operation Iraqi Freedom, was to curb an irrational dictator in a hostile environment which was voted on and passed by Dems and Repubs alike.

Toyota tops out wages at $25 an hour but gives out generous bonusses where Detroit still pays $62 an hour. Why will the US tax payers have to pay for $100 billion dollar bailout of the auto industry in Detroit so that the unions can still take home $62 an hour? In capitalistic economies if you don't make profit you cut the wages or the workforce so you won't go belly up. It is not the tax payers responsibility to support a few hundred Detroit employees so they can make $62 an hour.

I wish campaigns were more about plans and ideas...sick of attacks...again, McCain is probably better for the job, but he needs to sell he plan as being different than Bush's...he hasn't done that good enough.

i guarantee about 80% of people don't like socialism just because the other 20% don't like it. the 80% i'm sure have no clue what it's even about or why/if it's bad for the country.

justifying the war is a losing argument. we shouldnt have gone, we should come home.
we are pulling out of iraq now, regardless of who is president.
but we are putting more troops in afganstan, and if the democrats have their way we would send troops to darfur, somalia, and who the hell knows where else. but will you see the same outrage against sending troops there?

the iraq war is/was mostly about oil. indirectly having influence on saudi arabia and now iraq is over 50% of opec production. and we don't drill at home because the government would lose that power, and bc of government irresponsibity with money that we need someone to borrow from. china buys US bonds, which then we can create currency with, which we use to buy oil from the saudis. if we drilled our own oil, the global price of oil would drop, but the buying power of the dollar would shrink, since its not being exported. but it would force the fed to stop inflating the currency and force government to stop borrowing from china.

i agree with you up until you suggest drilling here. first of all, it will go to the highest bidder, not us. secondly, it is wrecking the environment, lets try new energy
