    The Chicken.
    The Chicken was the next step in the EVOLUTIONARY process.
    I cant remember the exact species it came from, but I believe Darwin discusses it.
    Anyhow, after the chicken is formed as we know it now, it lays an egg one day, and the cycle of life begins.
    So there you have it folks.

    In terms of the chicken or the egg which the chicken lays.... the chicken came first.
    I dont think Fish wanted to know about eggs in general. He knows eggs were around for a long time.
