Chiefs want him, and it just said on the screen he is skipping todays workout with them for another team but doesn't say who.

I do not think he is going somewhere to back up because that is why he retired in the first place, he turned down Green Bay back up job.

It's a bit late in the season for it - but the 9rs are actually an excellent choice. I think he can still probably play. I think he was dumb in how he handled his injury in Minn - and his arrogance hurt him in Miami. I think with a bit of work he could get back to 90% form, which is 2 INTs or fumbles/game and 2 TD passes. That's definitly an improvement somewhere. I think he deserves another shot - he's proven he is pretty good.

ESPN said he wants $10 million, and to be signed past this season.

Lions confirm Culpepper in for a visit

by Tom Kowalski Tuesday October 28, 2008, 9:10 AM

AP File PhotoDaunte Culpepper, who retired prior to the start of the 2008 season, is scheduled to have a workout with the Lions today.
    UPDATED at 11:07 a.m.
The Lions have finally confirmed an earlier report here that free agent quarterback Daunte Culpeper is visiting the team at its Allen Park practice facility. Whether Culpepper eventually will sign a contract with the Lions is unknown.
It's not usual for free agents to visit teams Tuesday, the day that clubs continue to maintain their "short list'' in case of injury to other players. Last week, the Lions brought in free-agent quarterback Tim Rattay for a workout.

What makes the Culpepper situation more interesting is that Culpepper was scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs today, presumably to sign a contract, but he canceled that visit, saying that he had a better offer from another club. Culpepper did not identify that team.
Culpepper's career took a noticeable downturn when Randy Moss left the Vikings after the 2004 season. In their final season today, Culpepper started 16 games and threw 39 touchdown passes and just 11 interceptions. Without Moss the following season, Culpepper -- in just seven starts -- had six touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Culpepper spent the 2006 season with the Miami Dolphins, getting four starts and throwing two touchdowns and three interceptions. Last year, Culpepper started six games with the Oakland Raiders and had five touchdown passes and five interceptions.
