I don't think Obama will take the flags off the Presidential limo like Carter did early in his term, but I do believe there are major similarities. I was never convinced of Carter's fundamental patriotism, just like I have serious skepticism regarding Obama's love for America. Americans are desperate for a new approach, but I don't think they're spending enough time evaluating the exact nature of the new approach that we need. There were major differences in policy and priorities between Reagan and Papa Bush, just like there would be between Baby Bush and McCain. This is the largest fundamental flaw in the two-party system, that people can galvanize against one party without gaging the details of the particular candidates in question.

Where do I start, Obama would not sell Iraq a nuclear bomb and if he did we would not "all die", the fear mongering has worked in the past so I see why people (neocons) still use the tactic, the fact that someone still believes iraq was capable of harming us or would of had any capability to within ten years is nuts, N. korea and Iran could do more damage yet we invade Iraq because they were weak and people thought we could take the country easily. Don't forget the increase in taxes on dividends as well. Obama says he won't raise taxes. What he won't tell you in that he is going to let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010.
