Fact: You ain't tough if you don't know how to change a tire.

Fact: People who work on cars and change tires are tougher than guys who spend their time getting manicures.

Bronxer, I know I can kick your ass. Meet me at Gate 15 in Flushing

    True statement EI

If you break down because of a flat and you don't know how to change a tire, you may want to rethink your manhood, just saying.

I don't recommend that. If your car comes with a spare learn how to change a fukcin' tire. Christ!

I wouldn't even know where to begin on how to change a tire. Doesn't interest me to learn either. Triple A comes within 30 minutes if you need them, it's a great service. I would rather pay and have stuff like that done, I am sure it's easy to learn but not interested at all in learning things like that.

What did you do when you were 17 or 18

You never had an interest to learn the basic workings of your car?

Absolutely not, learning how to do anything with a car but drive it has never interested me.. I always had Triple A or some kind of service like it... I have never done any kind of home repairs, I pay someone to do that kind of stuff... If you gave me 30 hours and 5k to change my oil, I wouldn't be able to do it... I could care less though... I have never done one ounce of manual labor in my life either and never will... Hell EI, I have very high slanted ceilings and need a lightbulb changed, I don't even own a ladder, I need to get someone to do this for me. I don't even own a screwdriver EI.

funny I see this...I'm getting new tires right now. Just had a flat about an hour away from my home so I tried putting the slime in it, but that bullshit didn't work. So I had to put on the fukn doughnut...one of the simpliest things to do. Takes 15 mins....so now i'm sitting in Goodyear waiting to get 2 new tires on the charger.

    I don't own a "latter", either.

However, I did use my extension ladder to change out my can lights this morning. Did it all while I had my car on jack stands draining the fluids. After I finished, I re-wired my main breaker box, snaked all my plumbing lines (just as preventive maintenance), and tacked a broken weld on my pipe fence with my portable MIG. Almost finished running a new line for additional zone I added to irrigation system!

    Typical Saturday morning.

In illini's defense, I would assume 99% of his home maintenance is covered by his association fees.

    Am I correct on this??

EI. my ceilings are out of reach, even with an extension of some sort... You need to get on top of a ladder which I won't do.... It's not a regular bulb either, it's one of those weird shaped ones in a custom fixture...

I've changed bulbs in all types of fixtures (some 20 to 25 feet in the air for a custom home). Unless the fixture is shaped like this, you shouldn't have a problem.

I love working on cars, or in the yard. It is what men do. I despise paying someone to do something that I could do myself, but is sometimes necessary.

Good for you, I have no interest in doing it myself... I don't climb on a ladder and not going to buy something to reach up and do it myself....
