    Police sources tell KDKA television in Pittsburgh that 20-year-old John McCain campaign volunteer Ashley Todd has admitted to lying to them about being mugged and attacked by a man who carved a "B" into her cheek after seeing a McCain bumper sticker on her car. Todd is expected to face charges for the false report, according to KDKA.

    It's amazing how stupid some people are. Even if she got away with the lie, to any rational person, it had no bearing towards anything political.

    What a low opinion she (and some people on this forum) must have of their fellow Americans to think that people might find it a relevant in deciding how to cast their votes.



    The Republicans have been trying to foment fear in the population for a long time and obviously they have succeeded. Some people have lost all rationality.

    That is actually an overall gov't tactic. It is effective and that is why it is used. Both candidates are using it as there primary strategy as we speak. They basically feed off of peoples' emotions rather than rationale.
