I deposited 80 dollars into pokerstars last Thursday night and played 2/4 and 3/6 limit poker and ran it into over 600 by saturday night and requested a payout by check (their only option for US players) and was thinking I'd have to wait the usual (3-4 weeks) for the check to arrive. Well my payout was made late Saturday night (actually early Sunday morning) and the check arrived Thursday. THAT'S RIGHT, I REQUESTED A PAYOUT SUNDAY IT WAS MAILED ON MONDAY AND ARRIVED AT MY HOUSE ON THURSDAY! I COULDN'T FUKIN BELIEVE IT! I've been waiting on my Las Palmas check that I requested in September and when the letter came I thought this was it, instead it was the pokerstars check I requested on Sunday

Why can't all the books use Pokerstars processor, free payout once a week and check in your hand reg. mail on the 4th business day, thanks pokerstars for first class service!

Why cant any books other than BetJam and creditwagering process payouts fast, it's unreal that it's virtually instant payouts by BetJam/Pokerstars/creditwagering and apparently FTP, but the rest require 3-4 weeks, what processor are they using that it takes 3-4 weeks to put a stamp on an envelope and drop it in the mail?

One of main reasons you get paid quickly with pokerstars or any other place is because it is not their money but your money that everyone is playing with, secondly not lots of payout requests anymore with poker due to the huge decrease of popularity it has taken.

Has a lot to do with the banks they use. Plus look at companys like FTP,PS ect. They have 100 of millions in buss they bring in a year. They have to be on top of their game 24/7 to keep/bring customers. Poker unlike Sports betting, has a card room in just about every state. Sports betting just in Nevada. Myself personally until books start losing customers over slow payout it will continue.

One thing also to take into consideration. Poker they dont wanna see u go bust, the more you play the more the site makes, RAKE. Now u can get the same thing from sportsbooks, being they only make money off juice, very similar to rake. But unlike poker sites, sportsbooks can have losing days/weeks. which sometimes I think with smaller books can affect slow payouts! Just my 2 cents

I guess that's the reason with poker there really is zero risk for the site so they always have the full amount of the money and are just perpetually earning a rake at all times so your payouts are always instantly available funds. But I would think that the sportsbooks would have enough money on hand to pay their winners at all times as well PLUS BetJam and amazingly creditwagering always manage to payout within a week, whilst books like Bodog take 40 business days

PokerStars and Full Tilt are the only places to play. They offer the best action, easy deposit and quick as hell pay outs. Use to play at BoDog too...but that place just went to sh!t.
