    Remember when you were a kid and the score did not matter?

    All that mattered was that your favorite team won, and you did not care by how much as long as they won?

    I kind of miss those days. Nowadays it's all about covering. Sports were more enjoyable when I was a kid.

    I still remember the episode of Silver Spoons where Ricky yells at the TV about the Jets "needing to win by 4! where's the kicker for the field goal?!" "No son...they only have to run out the clock"

    Spreads ruined sports for the gambling fan. You can't even celebrate your team's win at the bar anymore because they won by 4 points and you had -5.
