Tampa Bay Rays - lot of people will be on them.

If you are still thinking of who to take, take the Red Sox.

Red sox will not lose tomorrow. Money in the bank.

Lester on the mound in Boston results in an 8-1 loss and they are still a lock, hmm

Nope, today was a horrible loss, and hopefully it wakes the defending champs up for tomorrow.

The red sox started great today, getting on base early. Lester gave up a lot of runs early and from then on the game was out of reach.

    Won't happen tomorrow.

You are overlooking the fact that Wakefield is pitching and that Sonnanstine is on a roll. The Rays may have won this series last night.

That said, I am on the OVER tonight.

I respectfully disagree with your Red Sox play sir. I'm taking the Rays in this game.

Lester was 3-0 with a microscopic ERA vs. Rays this year as one example.

I'm starting to change my mind on this game actually. I think I'm gonna take the experience of Wakefield and the Red Sox tonight.

Gotta go with The Rays on this one. Wakefield is going to get crushed.

Look at Wakefield this year against TB.

    0-2
    5.87 ERA
    3 Games Pitched
    15 Innings Pitched
    17 Hits
    10 Earned Runs

    This is Sonnanstine:

    0-0
    0.00 ERA
    2 Games Pitched
    13 Innings
    7 Hits
    0 Earned Runs

very true. I hate betting against knuckleballers as much as I love betting against them. If that makes any sense. Still on the Rays tonight, Rays bats are so hot, and likelihood is they can get to Wakefield. Sonnanstine has pitched well enough for me to back him tonight.

And I can't remember who keeps saying bet on teams, not pitchers, but the Rays fall under this category too. Bostons bats are too cold, and this is the night they feel the sharp sting of no repeat.

    Hopefully! BOL to everyone.

and yes, I do understand its a seven game series, but few would disagree with me that a loss tonight for the Sox would likely be their death in this series. Rays in 6!

i think wakefields change of pace will give the rays problems...

i dont expect him to pitch more than 5 innings, so rays batters will get 2 at bats against him... i see a couple solo shots but nothing too dangerous

T....did you ever think that the Rays just might be up to the task? Young and hungry can be very powerful. The numbers against Wakefield are nothing to write home about....but anythings possible.

has wakefield pitched this post-season yet?

knuckleballers need to keep their "touch" or feel for the pitch pretty fresh right?

Everyone on the Giants last night, Browns won outright. Everyone on the Rays tonight, Red Sox will win. New lineup for the Sox is a good thing and will shake things up. A big plus is there's no Jason "I can't even hit a beachball" Varitek.

    hmmm...

I remember back to...91 or 92 when wakefield was on fire with the pirates in the end of the season going like 8-1 and then winning 2 games in the playoffs and the pirates considered putting him back on the bump with 1 or 2 days rest again, cuz he is a knuckle-baller.... then one bad season and they gave up on him..... and that's why they are the pirates.

best part was they drafted him as a hitter...first basemen I think.. and he sucked, so he fooled around with the knuckler in practice and gave it a shot.
