What happens here is a team is a 225 dollar dog and just had to squeak by a 8 seed and some pos bastard is saying there is value in that game!! Or a team who has the worst record in baseball and is palying a drunk driver no less and there is value in that?? AND BOTH LOSE!! U tell me where the value was in either of these 2 games yesterday?? I wouldn't say "over" used as much as "wrongly" used. Value IS everything when it comes to betting, but a lot of guys here say a play has value only because it is +250. There are many longshots that have no value and many favorites that have tons of value.

The bottom line is you have to handicap what percentage of times a play should win and compare it to the actual price and take it from there.
