PROBLEMS WITH CANADA:
1) ridiculous gas prices, (and quit fukking charging by the liter) - works out to over $5/gallon
2) too close to buffalo
3) ridiculous littering fines, come on $1000 just for throwing a cigarette butt on the sidewalk?
4) EXTREMELY ridiculous traffic laws, going 50km/hr over the limit can result in $10,000 fine + 6 months in jail + they steal your car!
that is like going 95mph in a 65mph zone in the us, don't tell me you've never done that guys. plus there's stretches of freeway there that are flat and desolate, there should be no reason i can't go 100mph when there's nobody within miles.

1. You are using the US as a basis which is heavily biased since the US is known as having the lowest gas prices among industrialized Western nations. If you think Canada is expensive, have a look at this. It's a few years old, but it shows the relatives differences, which is the basis of your comparison. It's funny that you mention liters too since the US is basically the only country in the world that uses the imperial system with gallons.

2. Too close to Buffalo? What is this supposed to mean? Yes Buffalo is a sh*thole, but when you cross the border into Niagara Falls, you notice an improvement (massive) right away. The scene in Bowling for Columbine comparing Detroit and Windsor describes it best.
3. I don't know where you got this from. $1000 for a littering fine? That's simply not true. The fine for littering in the City of Toronto is $305 (used to be $105). You have to remember that this is a written law, cops don't enforce littering laws, you know this. You can go to a JP and get it reduced or thrown out anyways.

4. Key word there is CAN. And this is only in Ontario. From what I've heard from people who have got busted doing it, they got a $2K fine and never any jail time. Again, this is only a new bullsh*t law in Ontario that was brought in by the waste of skin Liberal government. I've heard in the US a cop can arrest you for doing as little as 10 mph over if he believes you were driving recklessly? Also, based on my experience, you guys have about 10X more traffic cops in the US than we do here and EVERYONE obeys the limit.

The US banking system collapsed during the recession while Canada's banks were ripping multi billion dollar profits each quarter. The Canadian banks then began investing in these US banks, which were trading at a fraction of what they were worth prior to the recession. The Canadian banks took advantages of distress sales and have further solidified their presence in the US banking system. It's funny because a nation's banking system should be integral to the development of its economy, but when your banking system is owned by foreigners, you've lost sovereignty over your own economy.

Canada does possess nuclear technology. In the 1970's, Canada helped develop India's nuclear power program. What India did when the project finished was take their newly discovered nuclear expertise and took their nuclear power and weaponized it. The Soviet Union lost 23 million men while 15 other countries lost more men than the US. Now, about your BkofAma comment, you lied again. They don't hold 3 trillion worth of assets, they hold 2.2 trillion worth of assets. You overstated their assets by 36%, which represents the typical amount that you have overstated all of your figures by.

Also, their liabilities are just over 2 trillion, which means that they only have 200 billion in equity. Furthermore, you have to question the "assets" they have in the mortgage section. We all know that banks took massive asset writedowns on their toxic assets during the financial crisis and we all know that the US housing market is still in a decline. This makes you wonder whether BkofAma may have to take another writedown to have their assets reflect the actual market value of their mortgages. Just my opinion mixed in with some pretty strong facts.
The massive foreclosures happened because when people in your country who worked at McDonald's, making $35,000 a year, went to the bank to get a $200,000 mortgage on a 2nd home, the bank said, "we won't give you $200,000, we'll give you $250,000". That's why your system fail. Sub prime borrowers fueled by greed, and the banks were complicit with this scam. The banks would turn around and sell those mortgages as AAA grade to investors. American greed and ingenuity at its finest.
