well if you bet dogs and are winning at 50% you will still be up whereas if you are laying -110 and up hitting 50% you will be down

They seem though to always be chasing the dogs, secondly not as easy as it looks to hit 50% of dogs bets

I think the average ML dog hits like 40% of the time depending on line

Isn't that the definition of a square? You took the ace pitcher, on the road, as a -150ish favorite with the underdog's best hitter out of the lineup. That's as square as it gets.

Taking Florida last night is the EXACT same thing as taking Philly w/ Lee on the mound, on the road as a decent favorite.

It's a square play that won, simple.

I'm not knocking the play, because I make a lot of square baseball plays too. But don't argue the fact that you didn't take the clear-cut, public sexy play.
