Someone answer this for me.

Here's what I don't get. When nfl players score a touchdown, they sometimes like to do a dance or simply act out. Doing such a thing can even get your team penalized. On top of that, this person is hated by many folks across the US. A lot of folks hate endzone celebrators and perceive these people as "out of control," "animals," or "a menace." They get really worked up and annoyed by these people.

Switch over to mlb. A player hits a walk off homerun, the entire team rushes the home plate, and they all bounce up and down and celebrate. No one bats an eye. It's perfectly okay and acceptable to do so.

What am I missing?

(A guy at work, gets all pissed off about Desean Jackson, but it's okay for his Red Sox to do the House Of Pain at home plate. )
