Wouldn't matter, unless he could play DB or LB.

Everyone thought it was Belichick. I remember Belichick from the Cleveland days and knew he was garbage. It is all Brady.

Give me a break, this team is deep and talented and they're playing like chickens with head cut off.

brady is miles ahead of every qb in the league, save maybe manning, maybe

plus cheating and knowing the other teams plays helps a lot

Brady had more weapons than Brees in 2006 and not near the success

I think they might be a little bit better if they signed Dante Culpepper or Steve McNair. Hell, Joey Harrington or David Carr can do a better job than this Cassell guy. He panic's too early.

And you from the Bay Area?

I would have to say Montana is the best I ever seen, Marino and Elway too.
Brady is good, but mostly endless 5 yard passes.

I will take the Mobile Ben Rothlesberger over Brady.

Belichick is from the same school as Parcells. Neither of them ever had a decent backup QB. They think they are above it. That they can make their teams win. They can't.

Rememebr when Testaverde blew out his ACL in 1999 with the Jets and dumbass Parcells only had Ric Mirer, who everyone knew at that point was a stiff. They started 1-6 and their season was done.

Belichick has never had a decent backup to Brady and they are paying for it now. Plus, the offensive coordinator is a joke. How about running the ball on 1st and goal from the 1 instead of passing down 17-3?

Plus, that punk McDaniels is yelling at Belichick walking to the locker room. He should have fired his ass right there.

I dont know why QB's dont wear metal braces around their knees. Not like they need that much mobility... Doesnt make much sense to me.

us non-athletes often underestimate the amount of athleticism that is needed to do even the most "routine" looking plays in the realm of professional sports where only the top .01 or .001% of athletes are competing... seriously half the male population of the us couldn't do a 5 step drop without tripping over his feet... forget the 6-3 310 lb Dt that runs a 4.6 running at him with a 6'4 260 De sprinting towards his blindside...

screw mobility.... put them in body casts with only their arms hanging out

The worst thing is that I posted in another thread that the Chargers would win this game by two touchdowns but didn't bet it because I didn't want to lay this many points vs. New England.

Sometimes it is tough to let go of the realization that the Pats are a middle of the pack team without Brady, and being out for the year has only confirmed that he was the true MVP of the league in recent seasons.

Good thread CrazyL....Brady is really an important component of the Pats. It sucks that he is out.

You can't say Belichick is awful because they are losing now. If Cassel would of made some throws the game would of been a hella of a lot closer. Twice Moss had the DB's beat deep and the balls were under thrown or just bad. Threw behind receivers quite a bit too.
And to the whole "cheating" arguement, all of the roads to the Super Bowl ended with the Pats running a two minute drill with Brady nailing pass after pass. Yah I'm sure they really had time to watch the signal of the other team, figure it out and then relay it into Brady for all of those games. He is one of the most clutch QB's of all time.

Was Brady really that good or is Cassell really that bad? Maybe there's a reason why he sat behind Leinhart, who is starting to look like a career backup in the NFL. I think the Cassell stink factor trumps Brady's skill which is very good.

What if the Pats had a backup like Kerry Collins? I bet Kerry would be having career stats right now and he's had some very big statistical years back in the day.

Can the Pats still talk to Testeverde?

Maybe the Pats can lure Jake Plummer out of retirement. Who wouldn't come out of retirement if they could throw to Welker, Moss and hand off to those beastly RBs?

Brees if the most effective quarterback in the NFL despite due to injuries playing with the worst receivers in the NFL, this is unprecedented, Super Bowls are irrelevant, I have seen Brady do less with more, as well as Montana.

Brady could sling the ball all day long and have numbers even better than Brees but the Pats like winning better
