Poker Tourneys in April: Did we like that format?

What was it like 30 players and 8 tourneys a day?

Comments? Were you able to play when you wanted? Were they too slow or too fast? Do it again sometime or they were too small?? What ya got?

    I like it.

Only suggestion would be to add a 12 PM or 1 PM (if necessary, remove one of the later ones, like the 6 PM).

I was mostly able to play when I wanted to, except for a few times when I wasn't on when registration started.

30 meant they weren't too long, so that was good.

I preferred the 90 person tourneys better. 30 isn't terrible, but there were too many people just trying to double up or go bust. May have just been a coincidence, but I got hacked out a lot more in these tourneys. The speed of the blinds may have had something to do with this too, because by about 30 minutes in your starting stack is only equal to about 10 big blinds. So seems like the blind schedule was a bit aggressive.

Hope you guys keep doing tourneys for months to come though. They're a great perk!

I like the 90 better. The 30 is basically a winner takes all. I don't mind the "turbo" structure as to me its slow as I'm used to playing with 5 minute blinds.

What he said. This has always been a problem with SBR poker. Let's play poker at the final table one of these days, not all in shove fests every hand.

I really liked the 90 person tournaments, but no complaints about the 30 person tourneys this month. I especially like how those that don't show up are removed from the tournament.

    30 Man is best...

Too many players were sitting out in the 90 man

    i have enjoyed them personally

these 30 player games take about 2 hours on average, quick, efficient, fun tourneys imo.

they are perfect as far as length of tourney goes. i've managed to play in probably 90% of them and they fit right into my schedule with work and kids. the 90's were a bit long for me to take advantage of on a regular basis.

I like 60 or 90 players better. How long do you have to sit before you get toosed now? I was about 20 minutes late the other day and got DQ'd.

    Thanks for the comments.

OK we will work on the schedule so we can get a game going earlier and one later. We will also work on the blinds. We certainly do not want all-in fests.

I personally liked the 30-man better than the larger tourneys.

I liked the 60-90 person format, also I like that the night tournies only opened for sign up a couple of hours before!
