Look at the stat sheet. He and Josh Johnson had no hitters going into the 5th. Johnson still has a no hitter in the 6th. But Jimenez. Bottom of the 5th he walks 3 straight batters at the bottom of the order. Just out of nowhere. He still had a no hitter. He strikes out the pitcher, gets the 1 batter to pop out, then gives up a bases clearing triple to Infante. 3 runs off of 1 hit. They took him out in the 6th for a pinch hitter. What gives with this guy? He has the nastiest stuff but he just can't control it I guess.
The point of the thread is that he pitched a no hitter, a flawless game until the bottom of the 5th. Then out of the blue he walks 3 straight batters that were at the bottom of the order so it wasn't like he needed to nitpick the zone. It was just strange how he lost it so fast. I remember last year he was literally untouchable through the first half of the year. 3 runs in only 5 innings pitched does not really go down as decent game. Below average but he was untouchable for 4 innings.
