Last time we've seen a freshman like Johnny Manziel in college football?
This is fun to watch.
Wow.

Adrian Peterson was pretty dominant. But ever since that LT game, I've known Manziel was the real deal and tried to watch every possible snap of his.

He's pretty damn good too. Look at the weapons around him, though.

Not sure you realize how good he is, set the SEC record for yards in like his third game, and THEN BEAT IT like two games later.

Yeah -- not saying he's the best, just trying to figure out when the last time we've seen a frosh do something like this.

Oregon recruited the kid pretty hard from what I remember...their QB now is just the sloppy seconds. Good but not quite where this kid is at yet.

Hard to imagine a better fit for Chip Kelly's offense. Wonder why they missed on him.

Maurice Clarett. Hopefully Manziel doesn't try to challenge the NFL and go pro after this year like he did.

Was just going to say Clarett.
What a shame how things turned out for him.
He was the talk of college football all season in 2002.

not sure if people are serious but tebow wasn't the starter in his freshman year. chris leak was. tebow did come in sometimes.
i was thinking maurice clarett as mentioned earlier. also hershell walker
what about braxton miller this year? not nearly as good but i'd throw in UCLA's quarterback. oregon's too.
not sure if these guys were true or redshirt freshmen though? i think the tailbacks were.

The Freshman QB at Oregon is far more electric and talented. Marcus Mariota - kid is unbelieveable.
