It is in their best interests for the dollar to collapse. Why do you think the Saudi's are going to cut back on their oil production? At first I thought some left behind christian right group produced it, but this group seems to be somewhat mentally stable after you visit the web site. There is nothing backing our currency, and running the presses 24 hrs. a day will never make us more wealthy. All the dollar is backed by is the faith in the US govt. to pay its debt and be solvent.

S&P is the first strike in the eventual fall of the dollar and US economy, OPEC and other oil producing countries are already favoring a "basket of currencies" as opposed to our dollar which is what oil is traded in now. The idea that Saudi Arabia would not benefit by trading in something other than worthless paper (which is being further devalued) is a ******* joke. The idea that having worthless paper as a "reserve" to back up your economy is also a joke.

George Soros and Captains of finance, and Govt. held another Bretton Woods meeting earlier this month, to discuss the weening off of the US Dollar as a reserve currency. The plans are already in motion. The only thing to help this along would be ratings agencies having a negative outlook on our debt situation (S&P after issuing changes from positive to negative outlooks results in a further negative rating within 1 year 60% of the time.) The next step is for us to lose our AAA rating, which is something that has literally been hanging over our heads for 5 years.

To shrug off the possibilities of calamity in the markets and overall economy is akin to not heeding hurricane, or tornado warnings.
