Another theory about how to fix games (Bulls-Magic)

Watching the Bulls-Magic I just can't figure out why the Magic are trying so hard. They're locked into their playoff position but they're playing like it's a game 7.

They look like they're all playing for a bonus. Here's a way to fix games:

If you've got lopsided one-way action on the Bulls like we got for the Bulls/Magic game, offer a bonus to the team everyone bet against (the Magic in this case) if they win or cover, depending on the situation. Obviously the books in Vegas would need to work together here but who would care? The NBA? It's better for the league to have competitive games. Certainly the franchise wants to get as many wins as possible, they won't care.

A $100,000 per player bonus could be enough to really motivate a team... It looks like the Magic are playing for a bonus or something because NBA teams don't play like it's game 7 just for pride, no way.

clark played 7 mins, bass played 38. they both get 100k, or is it a certain amount/minute deal? have you thought this through, or just wake and bake then went random?

Magic were really playing like this was a Championship game. When players hit their 3's in those pressure situations, they aren't just playing for pride.

emm, a lot of bench players played today

those are the ones that play the hardest, playing to get into the starting lineup, playing to keep their spot on the team, playing to increase future playing time, playing to get a better contract come negotiation time, playing to get a good transfer deal, playing to fking advance their career

are those factors enough motivation for you?

people have to also keep denvers example in mind, this guy howard is barely a basketball player let alone a superstar, he is a giraffe they put under the basket and bounce the ball onto his head and into the net, the guy cant shoot and has no moves, he is a basically a bad version of shaq back when shaq was the shit

One of the dumbest logic I've heard. 1) Why the Magic are trying so hard? 2) Everyone on the Magic is getting a bonus? A bribe of that magnitude would never escape the FBI.

People like you think that everything exists around betting...
How about Orlando trying hard because they wan't to prove they can compete with the best team in the Eastern Conference without their star player, only days away from the playoff??

But yeah, Vegas offered them tons of money to play this game close and hit all those 3's. Come on...

98% of people lose because the lines are so sharp that you will never profit because of juice, and also because bettors are morans that win 10 games and lose it all chasing one loss

it was orlando's fan appreciation day. When your home team is cheering for you to beat the top seeded Chicago, even if you pay them, it is hard to shoot with just 4 fingers and no thumb to miss that basket on purpose.

If you want a conspiracy, you got to say something like the guy who shot that last 3 or 10 straight 3's did not get the memo about losing this game on purpose. LOL

This guy is an NBA guru. Everyone put your tin foil hats on and go to a potato field quick! Bring two different color socks and two different size shoes, preferably a different logo on each one too. Make sure they aren't following you. We need to blend in when we're hanging out with this guy so he can give us some more hot tips!!!

I was watching the game in shock as to how hard the Magic were playing (and I bet nothing but I was interested because of the line movement and the action on this forum), that was game 7 intensity in a meaningless game.

BTW, I remember you making a post a while back about how a pro hockey team was gonna "let a few extra go through the net" to the fix the over. I'll search on google to try to find that post.

Edit: I couldn't find the post but I still remember it.

Why do people hate conspiracy theories?

Just remember: If it wasn't one person acting alone it was probably a conspiracy. That's the reality of the world. Is everybody a child or do they just have their head in the sand?
