While I do think Gary Johnson is better for this country than Obamney, the vote for a 3rd party is the most important thing you can do on election day. It's almost an American duty to restore order to this bullshit, and adding a 3rd party to the real political conversation is the best thing you can vote for.

to me a vote for gary is a vote against romney. which helps obama. so its all good buddy.
obama has now made it guarnteed that i would get health insurance, and not denied the rest of my life because of my pre-conditions.
the health care law is such a personal issue for me, because i would be dead without health insurance. the problem is, people without health insurance, or who have it but have a terrible policy is that they don't go to the doctors when they start to feel pain. the caught my cancer in pelvis/sacrum because i was having heart burn. i had ulcers in my past so they do a ct of abdominal scan, and find it.
without health insurance, it would be months. till i was in real pain, by then the cancer would spread to my lungs. and once that happens the life-expectancy is less then 15 percent for MPNST.
and i know there are thousands of other people, who were in the exact same position. they wish, they would of went and found it at the first sign of it.
besides that. having a president in the white house who supports gay marriage is huge, instead of one who wants an amendment to define marriage as one man one wife.
i believe this is on five states in two weeks. and for the first time in american history, it looks like its going to pass in almost all of them. the president coming out for it, has a-lot to do it with it. and having your president say i support your rights is huge for everyone lgbt community.Comment -

In this instance, if I only had to choose between Obama and Romney, I am voting for Obama - simply because I know he will be gone in 2016, and hopefully the path will change. If Romney wins, all we are setting outselves up for is a potential for 8 more years of policies that mirror the last 4 years.
However, historically you are correct. Usually third party voters tend to come from the right.Comment -

ohio it does depend on what poll you look at, nbc had it at 6 a couple weeks ago. a quinibac poll has it at 5 today. but in the polls of polls if you measure em out the last few days obama still has around what 3-4? and even if you factor the undecided voters, romney will have to win around 65-70 percent of those undecided voters to carry the state.
pollster.com gives you the best info because it lists out all the polls. real clear polictics i don't understand at how they fact what states lean whatever way because they have michigan as a toss up. which is bs.
i mean serioulsy, new jersey? obama is up 14 pts in one poll, 15 pts in the other.
pa, its closer, but that state has leaned left for a while in national elects. i don't see that changing.
in the poll of polls in pa, obama is up 5.
i do think romney will win flordia, and north carolina, and i think he could win in coloradoa and virgina. but col and va, are so close. they could still go either way. whoever wins will be by less then 1.9 percent.
which is why ohio is so important because it puts obama over. and its the one 'swing state' that obama has a very clear edge in.
to put it simply.
if obama wins one swing state he wins the election.

well besides nadar who cost al gore the election, and could of saved us from george w bush. imagine if gore got elected. how much different america would be. instead of giving the tax cut like bush wanted, he wanted to save it, and invest it. maybe invest it in green enegry? we would never of went to iraq.
votes actually show gore won fl, by a few hundreds. not to go back 12 years. but that just depresses the penetrate out of me.
the voter machines in one county were so f'd up you could tell, so many votes were going for nadar. that were supposed to go to gore. just a really depressing thought. that we should of avoided bush.Comment -
That election proved how insignificant votes are.
In a recent book, Sandra Day O'Connor (the deciding 5th vote) said out of all the decisions she made while on the court - the one that still bothers her to this day was Gore v. Bush. She says that the court lost its way on that decision, by letting partisan politics stain a decision.
In a rather humorous way, she stated the reason she liked and voted for G.W.Bush was because he was cute.Comment -

I think what's been understated is that Obama's attack mode was indicative of him knowing he's behind. The frontrunner does not go on the assault, Romney just didn't want to do something to screw up his own momentum, so he played it safe. You do that with the lead. A team up by 3 late in the fourth quarter doesn't throw the ball.
Obama is desperate. He's already resumed the trashing of Romney. He is NOT discussing his plans for the next four years. It's totally transparent.Comment
