Why would it matter where the losing streak is?

good teams go flat all the time for 5 game stretches in the middle of the season

no reason to be flat coming out of spring training. they are thrilled to be out of fla. this 0-5 is not being flat.

again someone tell me a world series winner that started 0-5

Again, what's your point? Games in April count just as much as those in every other month...

Don't forget, 98 Yankees started 0-3... how'd that season turn out? One of the greatest teams ever assembled? Beginning of the season means next to nothing

red sox management is getting careless u cant really improve the team overall when ur losing martinez and beltre. those signings offset these losses but their absence is showing esp. at the catching position.

WOW! was at the game tonight to watch this game. A jam packed 9,000 people in attendance to watch the hapless Indians dismantle the overpaid Boston Red Sox. Not sure just yet if the Indians are going to be a better team than last year, or if the Red Sox are just off to a bad start. We will find out tomorrow when Carmona takes the mound against Lester. I am going to take the Indians +1.5, after losing a boatload betting on the Sox in their opening game when Beckett looked washed up. Wouldn't be surprised if the Indians win tomorrow the way they are hitting the ball right now.

sox suck.it happens. every media outlet overhyped their pitching. lester hasnt really proven anything, beckett lives on his rep, and tonight was the best dice-k can pitch. and lackey is pretty much junk. they will eventually hit, but when u cant get motivated to start a BRAND NEW baseball season, theres trouble. this team is either old or unmotivated. 157 to go, but ouch.

Will all the trades they never thought to get a decent pitcher. Beckett's best days are behind him and Dice K is a gas can, Lester is unpredictable.
