NFL PICKS: Cowboys won’t win in Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood
Dallas heads to Lambeau Field to take on Green Bay in a game the Cowboys would have likely rather played months ago as an NFC Championship game.
Both teams come into this primetime contest at 2-0 and looking to make a stand in the NFC with a win. Often touted as one of the top quarterbacks in the league, the Cowboys’ Tony Romo starts behind center in a close statistical tie with his counterpart for the Packers, Aaron Rodgers. Romo has passed for 632 yards, 4 TDS and 2 INTs on the season, while Rodgers is at 506 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INTs. Dallas squeaked out a home win over Philadelphia Monday night, but on the road, especially at Lambeau where the Cowboys have never won, I think it’ll be a straight up win for the … Packers.
Cincinnati (plus 13 1/2) at New York Giants:
With the biggest spread of the weekend in tow, Cincinnati visits the N.Y. Giants with just shy of two TDs already in their pocket. The Giants had a convincing 41-13 win over St. Louis last week, but does that score indication a stellar New York offense or are the Rams just that bad? I like the Giants to win and the Bengals to cover,
Miami (plus 12 1/2) at New England:
The Bradyless Patriots have won both their games this season, scoring a total of 36 points against two of the lesser teams in the NFL. Miami has lost both of its games, and has scored a combined total of 24 points … a 12-point difference that leaves me thinking the Patriots will win the game but the Dolphins will cover.
Cleveland (plus 2) at Baltimore:
Last week weather forced an unexpected week off for Baltimore and it also effected a low-score game between the Browns and Pittsburgh. The Browns were the only team in the NFL to start with two home games, and yet they are 0-2. With road trips coming in their next 4 of 5 games, they are sorely in need of a win.
