    Martingale betting strategy

To any of you familiar with the martingale betting strategy, I was curious as to whether or not the sportsbooks look down on this betting style as I have been using it off and on with my wagering and have steadily built up a respectable bankroll. The reason I ask is I don`t want to be banned from any sites. I would almost think that they would encourage the strategy seeing as how you can go from betting small amounts to large amounts very quickly with this system and all it takes to lose your bankroll is a decent losing streak.

Any and all input is appreciated, thanks!

There is no specific anti-Martingale sentiment out there.

If you get to the point where you are limited, for WHATEVER reason, and you need to make a bet larger than what they will allow you, then you are screwed.

    Congratulations!

It's all depends on a particular book. Could you name the book?

    I`m on bookmaker right now.

And yeah, you can be screwed if you end up hitting the betting limit. I do, however, bet small amounts and do like this betting strategy although i haven`t hit that multigame losing streak yet.

Sportsbooks LOVE people who use the martingale, because when you lose, you lose BIG! The smell bets won don't end up covering the loss when you do and will lose.

I didn't read anything in the terms and condition of my two books anything about the martingale system...but just keep in mind some books are arbitrary about there rules and could define your actions as "illegal".

I understand the downfalls of the martingale, and don`t follow the strategy to the T. If I were for example to have 3 or 4 losses in a row I`d just chalk it up as a loss and begin betting my original small bet instead of stubbornly following the betting pattern. But yeah, I`m not saying I`m invincible with this method nor that I won`t lose. I`m hitting at a high percentage right now so it`s making the strategy look good, and with these percentages, I`d be winning with or without the martingale, thanks for the input!

If you are self-capping your own losses, then its not a martingale. Lots and Lots and Lots of people are doing real good for a while and then end up hitting a long losing streak. Sportsbooks do not have any type of rules against what you are doing. The $ they make from one person who keeps chasing until they are out makes up for all the people who have some success with it.

Yeah, I could see Tony from 5dimes telling me what I`m doing is illegal if I`m winning, but not if I`m losing, lmao!

sports books welcome this this is the worst betting stragedy in the world theoritaclly it would only work if you had a million dollar bank roll and there is no limit how much you can bet but as you no all sports books have wagering limits

True. I guess I`m just using my own variation of the technique. And yeah, those people that chase will definitely MORE then cover anything I make, haha.

I new it would be inevitable there would be haters posting things like `Why would they stop you from giving them money`. I`m doing just find friend, I`ll continue counting my winnings. Like I said I`m doing VERY well and cap my losses during any losing streak. The point of this thread was to discuss whether books would ban me for using this method. I never asked if this method would work and already stated once that I was well aware of the downfalls of the martingale. I should have figured I`d get some arrogant, condescending responses.

I never complained about not receiving answers from anyone, I was talking in reference to people giving me advice on if the betting strategy was effective as opposed to if I was going to get in trouble for using it.

Bookmaker is one of the BEST books and they never had any problems with martingale. But I would recommend that you add another book to your holding, for better line and less tracebility. May all you bets be the winners! Play within the limits and don't listen to "know it all advisers".

Thanks for the encouraging words. I like the professionalism of bookmaker and the ease of use, however it seems like they don't have enough betting options especially when it comes to props, any recommendations for a secondary book?

Only use A or better books. My recomendations 5Dimes and Bodog. They have a lot of props. Never use BET365. They will lower your limit at once if you use martingale.
