PorceIIo got off to a rocky start Iast season with 8.03 era in the month of ApriI with batters hitting .429 off him.
The O's current team has a .351 BA vs. PorceIIo ( smaII sampIe size of 37 ab's )
The O's hit .429 off him Iast year.
Detroit hit .217 in 23 AB vs Arrieta Iast year.

i think oak is a great team this year they have lot of potential!

This is a different Tigers team with more firepower and fewer injuries. Detroit will hit Arrieta more than the Orioles do Porcello.
Personally, depending on the number, I like the Tigers Over (hopefully 4).

Both teams are diff due to free agents and getting back injured pIayers. I couId see both pitchers getting hit. I just hope the O's put up more runs.

I just think it's more likely the Tigers put up a big number. Porcello is better than his numbers from last season show, and he could very easily have a good outing. Benoit and Valverde are an almost unstoppable combination late.
I'd rather avoid getting caught in a slugfest that could end either way. Putting my faith in Jackson, Boesch, Cabrera, Martinez, and Peralta to have good games again.

I would the O's they do have a nice lineup and porcello seemed never to get it together so I would put a small play on the O's and there hot so why not .

I'm not sold on Arrieta stopping a pretty good lineup.
Throw last years stats of Porcello out the window. Hes a taken a big leap from last april thats for sure.
Baltimore can go nowhere but up...THey are better than most people think. Even last year, they had quite a few really nice wins.
Detroit is not good on the road. Same Tigers, different year. Take them at home, Fade them on the road...

The team isn't plagued by injuries this year. Magglio, Inge, Valverde, etc.
And of course the additional firepower in Martinez and the nearly unhittable Benoit to close the door behind Valverde.
The biggest difference? Teams HAVE to pitch to Cabrera now. No more unhittable balls/intentional walks when you have great hitters following him.
Way different (and better) Tigers team from last year...

benoit and valverde unstoppable late are u kidding me dude, there bull pen blows coke benoit and valverde come on dude u ahve to watch games closer valverde is always all over the place he is suspect at best as a closer with that said buck has this team playing well dated back to last year and orioles lineup is very good roberts ,markakis, guerrero, lee, scott, jones, reynolds dude come on orioles will win today again tigers are a flawed team that strikes out way too much becareful with the total cause arrietta may get alot of strikeouts today against the free swinging tigers
Only thing that worries me d-wizz is Porcello really pitched well down the stretch of the season last year. I think he was 6-2 L-10 after his Triple-A stint.
Did you see Valverde the first half of last year? Unstoppable. He was injured and overused (because of injuries to other guys) in the 2nd half and struggled some. He's been solid throughout his career.
Benoit had a 1.34 ERA last year and hasn't given anything up yet this year, though it's a small sample size. But still, unstoppable last year. Definitely one of the best back ends of a bullpen in the game.
And again, it's a totally different game from last year now that teams actually have to pitch to Cabrera. No more passes now that there are hitters in front of and behind him.
Some of you may see value in the Orioles, but it shouldn't be because of a 'weak' Tigers bullpen.
