    Attn Mods/Admins: Trivia Graded Incorrectly

    My 50 point question:

How many players were allowed on the field in college football during the 1800's

I answered 50. It marked the correct answer as 25.

I looked it up after it said I got it wrong and it turns out that there can be 25 on EACH side (I thought it seemed fishy that the number was odd, not even). The question made it sound like the TOTAL amount of players on the field and said nothing about the amount on one side.

If this could be fixed I would appreciate it.

In the 1880's the game started to resemble football as we know it today. The rules that were similar to rugby rules were changed. Instead of 25 players for each team being allowed on the field at one time, it was changed to 11 players. More rules were changed and added over time, many of those because of serious injuries and deaths of players. By the late 1800's some safety equipment was part of the player's uniforms.

The answer is correct, but due to the question being vague I will reset your trivia for today.
