when they play an easy schedule, and have 4 bad losses on that easy schedule, then they SHOULD AND WILL get judged by those bad losses.

youngstown st's rpi is 296 out of 345. if you can find 3 OTHER TEAMS out of the top 40 in the brackets (seeded 10 or higher) that have a loss to a team that bad i will give you 20 points.

shouldn't be hard to do since ALMOST EVERY tournament team has a loss to a team with an rpi of 296, another to a team ranked 136 and 2 more to a team 94th
Sometimes you lose games, it happens, teams go through a lot during a season. I don't know why you are focusing on a game they lost in early February when they have been unreal in the tournament over the last two years. Clearly it took time for Brad Stevens to make this year's team into a contender, they have won 13 straight.

Goes to show you just how big the offshore industry is.. Bookmaker payed out 126k to a player and didn't sweat it yet the Hilton is worried about 50k

Butler started the year 14-9 with losses to teams like Youngstown State and Wisc-Milwaukee. They are more than capable of losing to Purdue.

Has Butler beat anyone by more than 3 points this tournament? They were lucky to beat Old Dominion.

VCU has a great shot at winning this game. VCU has been beating teams like KU by double digits while Butler has been beating teams by 1 point.

He should hedge, VCU won't get past Butler and if they somehow do, no way they get through Kentucky or UConn.
i only focused on it because you were saying vcu won't get past butler and that butler was tougher than uconn/purdue.
we'll agree to disagree, i think butler has been lucky in both tournaments (i think they won 5 of their last 6 tournament games by one possession) and i think vcu should be favored on saturday. but i see your side of the argument too, good luck.

sportsbooks in vegas are ridiculous. a lot of them don't see the forest for the trees, they think if they lost money on a game that the CASINO lost money when in reality a lot of the guys that win $1000 on a game take it over to the craps tables and lose it.

If the Hilton is worried about 50K then Las Vegas is finished.

Hard to believe they're making such a big deal about a $10 wager.

Mike Colbert, book manager at the M, told the Las Vegas Review Journal that he took some big-money bets on VCU at 16-1 before the Sweet 16.

Must be some big and incredibly dumb money. Let's see:
    +200 vs. FSU
+800 (I got it) vs. Kansas
    +125 vs. Butler
    +200ish in the final
Parlay that shit and you got 181 to 1. And they're sweating "big (dumb) money at 16-1"? Funny chit. If someone bet $1000 on that I wonder how they would feel to know that they gave up $175,000 because they don't know how to wager.
exactly..why the cavs winning straight up last night was almost as big a hit..I ton of money lost on Duke, Kansas etc
