Linesmaker seizes winnings, accuses player of syndicate play

A Linesmaker player had $15,990 in winnings allegedly stolen by the sportsbook. Linesmaker accused the bettor of syndicate play, and refunded his deposits... read Linesmaker statement.

Any chance they would have refunded the players funds at the accusation of syndicate play if he lost. I think not. Just a bunch of sore losers. Should be down graded to F-

How do they prove that person was part of a "syndicate," seems like a ridiculous claim to simply not pay...

So this happened 7 months ago? Was there any resolution? It says no, so why did they stay at C-?

The player recently submit his sportsbook complaint form.

We'll give Linesmaker a chance to dust this one off and pay the player. Hopefully, we'll be able to report a happy ending.

Why were they ever a C- in the first place. They steal just like the majority of Jazette Books, so drop them to D- also.

been playing at jazz(bettingexpress) for many many years, i personally never had any problems ,except a short period of problems with checks going to US a couple years ago. but this would be enough for me to clean out my account for good. i thought stuff like this was behind them, i guess not( they have stole money in the past but i kept playing there, because of big bonuses, low roll, and i always get paid-fast). i still have an account at HOLLYWOOD AND SPORTSBETTING. i know most think they are 1 and the same. i don't. so for now i will keep those opened, either way. i could care less how or why he hit those games. they took his deposit. accepted the bets. that's it. pay him. throw him out if you want but first he has to be paid.

If they choose to close player's account, they should refund the Total balance (Deposits + winnings). No matter what kind of players they are.

Linesmaker closed my account and took my deposit the same day I sent it to them. Will I ever get my deposit back is unknown. The reason was my request to block my casino module for me. They said they can not do that of course. Stay away from all the Jazette family books, do not send them your money!!! They are crooks. You have to understand that Jazette books are very closely connected ( all the books are ran by the same people and same CS) and they all have the same handwriting than Sportsbook.com. It is just a matter of time when you get screwed. This syndicate play and professional play bullshit starts to really push my buttons! The fact of the matter is- the whole Jazette family books should equally be downgraded to F

Not really. If that was the norm there'd be people trying every fraudulent method under the sun with no risk.

Surely a syndicate player doesn't make in excess of 20 plays in one day. All very disappointing. Seems like none of the Jazette/former Jazette books want to rehabilitate themselves.

This has been Jazette's business model for years: Steal from the biggest winners, but pay the smaller players. Sadly, it has been quite effective.

That is very true! If your balance in any of the Jazette books goes over $10-15K, you can kiss your money goodbye!Reason to confiscate your funds is always easily fabricated. The biggest illusion about Jazette is that BetUSA for example is "independently" owned and operated and that is why they have a rating B. Or Linesmaker is different and not that bad as Sportsbook.com. That is all not true. So do not get confused. When you think any of Jazette books, think Sportsbook.com. Jazette is all same to the core cause it is operated by the same people whatever the books name might be. They should all have a same rating F- blacklisted!

They do not give a flying f... about their SBR rating or what anybody has to say about them in this forum by the way. They do think that they are the biggest. Those exact words they told me in several occasions.

The business model where you rob 1% of your biggest winners is very profitable cause they take out roughly 60% of all winnings.

Ha!.. I guess the sports book only thinks it cheating if you win. Not cheating if you lose. Having said that, I don't see anything wrong with his bets. They just don't want to shell out the money.
