Can the OP be anymore contradicting and petty? 1) You state they should always put the best matchup on Tv (DUH) and then complain cause the Lakers have been on for 12 years straight 2) You complain because some of the games are on cable? If someone seriously doesn't have cable this day in age than that is your/their problem. 3) You then say it's just one of 82 games and it doesn't mean anything, which is true. Then who cares if it's on cable? Then who cares if it's played on Christmas? Obviously you do, judging by the lenghty post, so maybe it does mean something to you after all. 4) Then after already stating they should put the best matchups on (again..DUH) you complain because the same teams are always showcased 5) You admit the tickets go for a fortune and revenue for the teams/league is high for these games and again you're wondering why the league puts games on Xmas and why fans go to the games? So what you're saying is if you owned a business selling tires and you could sell them on Tue for $5 a piece or on Sat for $10, then you would obviously sell them on Tue right? LMAO 6) And to close your contradictive argument you stick up for the "little guy" you doesn't have cable and can't get all the games.......in the same thread where you think the guy making $15M is getting screwed by having to work on Christmas. Here's a tip....The NBA gets the largest percentage of their revenue from TV contracts, so if you can't afford to buy cable (i.e. their product) then they don't care about you. If you can't afford cable, you can't afford tickets and merchandise, so again, they don't care about you and what you think. Sports is entertainment, hence athletes are entertainers. You entertain when it is convienent for your customers. I'd say a day when 85% of America is off from work is a good time, don't you? Bottomline, if it offends you, then DONT WATCH, but please stop whining.
