The EU has survived the bankster fraud and goldman sacking better than we have for sure. For the last decade or so Germany, that epicenter of European socialism, has either led the world in export sales or been tied for first.

Germany, one of the cloudiest countries in Europe, created 300,000 jobs in the last 10 years from solar and renewable energy. Also, after WWII when the constitutions of Germany and Japan were rewritten, there were strict rules limiting militarism-justifiably so most people would agree. So the German govermnent isn't run by oil companies and weapons manufacturers like ours.

It's not neccessarily a matter of "the liberals are right", but Germany is living in the 21st century while we are stuck in the 20th. And moving backwards toward the robber baron era of the 19th.
