This month, I want to take a step back. I should have started with this advice before the football season because I see a lot of people are getting buried and don't have a clue why. This is not about attacking the books, this is about realizing who you are as a gambler and where you want to be. Just as you learn to tie your shoelaces, you first have to put on your shoes. That is how we should attack sports betting. Know who you are and what you want out of the situation before you get involved.

People ask me why they aren't winning, why is their luck so bad, how can I win? Well, frankly you aren't winners and won't win until you make changes. You've bet 5 years in a row and lost...now you think you are going to win by doing the same fukkin thing? give me a fukkin break. There are 4 basic floors an online sportsbook will group you in.

1. Squares: These guys are not just Joe Q. Public contrary to popular belief. You can win 57% of games lifetime and still fit into this category. Two very different type of guys fit in this, for example Zboiz and BrockLanders. Zboiz is the public and plays favorites, overs, and No runs in the first. This guy is easy to spot right out of the gate. Then you have guys like BrockLanders. Brock can go on a run and be up 10 figures in no time and cash out big money, but you never worry with guys like Brock. He does not understand lines, money management, betting patterns, and how to make +EV (thats positive expected value for you squares out there) bets. Brock will keep betting and betting until the money disappears. In November's addition, I will turn the squares into 2. so stay tuned guys.

2. Break Even/Action Guys: A sportsbook hates these guys the most. A break even/action guy bets small amounts but wants fukkin freeplays, comps, points, and anything else you can think of. This is the type of guy that will ruin a sportsbook. You have to give him customer support, free deposits/withdrawals but always ends up around even... and when the guy is even, the sportsbook is down big because of CS, line manager, boss, overhead, dep/withdrawal fees..etc etc. These guys are the most normal, try to win a few bucks but stay even or lose slightly but cost the sportsbook money in the long run. Too many guys to name fit in this category.

3. Semi-sharps: These are guys like fishhead, justin7, nicky santoro, zetapsi. These guys have different ways of extracting value, but all have 1 thing in common...winning. Some of these guys pound weak lines, some hedge nonstop, some get small +EV plays...no matter what, you know they aren't changing their bet size and won't lose everything on a losing streak like Brock. Another reason is they understand most of the advantage betting systems...playing weak numbers, hedging, understanding how to pound if bets correctly, correlated parlays, wong teasers, no teasing through 0, advantage 2 or 3 team parlays, pinny leans etc etc etc the list goes on and on that you first 2 groups only know 20% about but think you have a fukkin clue. All of them might not know each specifically, but for one reason or another they are semi sharp and get knocked down at a few books.

4. 100% professionals: I've been here a total of 5 years on various names, 15 sports forums, I have seen maybe 5 in my life time. These guys can circumvent rules and limits. Guys only hope to get on the "sharp" side...well these are those "sharps" you hope to get on the same side as. 2 or 3 post here, but will not release names so do not ask.

Guys, it is impeccable you understand which category you fit in. The best way to do this, is KEEP A FUKKIN RECORD OF YOUR BETS. The SBR spreadsheet is perfect for a simple bettor to use. If you still don't know after that, I'll look at it for you and tell you. But do not come to me with less than 600 bets, because anything can happen before that.

Ofcourse, there are a lot more groups when you look deeper...(bonus hunter, point players only, sharp but square, square but sharp, etc etc etc) but these are the 4 main groups a book will put you in. Realize what you are and move forward if you want to.
