This team is in a string of 6 games without a win, comprising 4 draws and 2 defeats, scored just 4 goals and suffered 6 goals in this period of the last 6 games.
If we look at the past 10 games, we find only 1 victory, 7 draws and 2 defeats, scored 9 goals and conceded 9 goals in this period.
This is the team that has more draws in the league.

Look at the team's last 10 games (includes games at home and as visitors):

People who follow this tournament with attention, they realize that this team is very dependent on some specific players.
For this team can present a good football or at least reasonable, some players need to have the famous "moment of brilliance," depends heavily on the inspiration of individual talent of some players.
Some examples of these players: Rafael Carioca, Nilton, Carlos Alberto.

A news item that caught my attention is the almost certain loss of these players and more some players, for the game against Santos.
News say that the team may not have the presence of the following players: Rafael Carioca, Dedé, Ramon, Nilton, Carlos Alberto and the attacker Nunes.

I will transcribe below part of this news from a sports site in Brazil:

"- It is not easy to coach PC Gusmão assemble the team that will play against SantosF, on Tuesday. Vasco has a number of absences for the game, especially on the defensive sector. Dede and Rafael Carioca, suspended, not playing, and Ramon, with left thigh injury.
A containment area was further weakened by Nilton. The player suffered a knee injury and is out for the rest of the league.
Another that he got injured and will miss Vasco is the midfield, Carlos Alberto. The player returned to feel pain in the thigh and will be reevaluated on Monday. The expectation is that the player gets a few games away from the team.
Moreover, the attacker Nunes still feels a discomfort in the hip and is out of the game on Tuesday. The player was not even related to the game by coach PC Gusmão".

Santos: Today is the 6th place in the league with 38 points scored in 24 games. His record shows 11 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats, scored 40 goals and conceded 31 goals in those 24 games.
After a possible crisis in team, that would result from a series of disagreements between the managers team, the former coach and player Neymar, the team has new souls to continue dreaming of winning the championship.

After team managers quit coach "DorivalJR," showing a clear preference to be beside the attacker Neymar, and after the failure to not call for the next games in the selection of Brazil, it seems that peace has returned the team and that their main attacker back to play only good football.
Even the team's loss to the team of Corinthians, it is undeniable that the striker, along with the team, made a good game. The same situation repeated itself in the last game, the team presented a convincing football.
With most public problems solved, with these recent performances of the team and especially with the results of other games in the last round of the championship. These are facts that make the players believe it is possible to win the championship.

Today the team has 10 points less than the leader of the championship. But the team has a game less about the team leading the championship, and within 10 days, the team will play against the current leader of the championship.
In conclusion, if the team win these games would be a real difference of only 4 points for the current championship leader.

In the last 12 games records show 6 wins, 6 draws and 3 defeats, scored 20 goals and conceded 11 goals in those 12 games.
In the last 6 games as a visitor records show 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats, scored 6 goals and conceded 7 goals in these games.

See the last 12 games (includes games at home and as visitors):

    25.09.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 4-1 Cruzeiro/**
    23.09.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-3 Corinthians/SP
    19.09.2010 D1 Guarani/SP 0-0 Santos FC/SP
    16.09.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 4-2 AtléticoGO

    12.09.2010 D1 Ceará SC/CE 2-1 Santos FC/SP
    10.09.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 0-1 Botafogo
    05.09.2010 D1 Flamengo 0-0 Santos FC/SP
    03.09.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-1 Avai FC/SC
    28.08.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-0 Goiás/GO
    26.08.2010 D1 Grêmio/RS 1-2 Santos FC/SP
    22.08.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-0 Atlético Mineiro/**
    19.08.2010 CSA Avai FC/SC 0-1 Santos FC/SP

The Santos team have two changes from the team that started the match against Cruzeiro..
Alex Sandro replace Leo (suspended), the midfield Zezinho replace ZéEduardo (suspended).
However, the players considered reserve team will play this game , have a good technical level in comparison with the reserve players vasco .
I think this game is a key to define the real pretensions of this team in the league.

    Confrontation between the two teams:

The last 14 games between these two teams show a record of 8 wins for the team santosfc, 3 draws and only three wins for the home team, Vasco.
See the last 14 games between the two teams:

*Green = Santos WIN or DRAW

    06.06.2010 D1 Santos FC/SP 4-0 Vasco da Gama/RJ
    08.11.2008 D1 Vasco da Gama 1-0 Santos FC/SP
    27.07.2008 D1 Santos FC/SP 5-2 Vasco da Gama/RJ
    30.09.2007 D1 Santos FC/SP 1-0 Vasco da Gama/RJ

    04.07.2007 D1 Vasco da Gama 4-0 Santos FC/SP
    26.11.2006 D1 Vasco da Gama 1-1 Santos FC/SP
    20.08.2006 D1 Santos FC/SP 0-2 Vasco da Gama/RJ
    27.10.2005 D1 Vasco da Gama 1-3 Santos FC/SP
    19.12.2004 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-1 Vasco da Gama/RJ
    11.08.2004 D1 Vasco da Gama 2-3 Santos FC/SP
    14.12.2003 D1 Vasco da Gama 1-1 Santos FC/SP
    26.07.2003 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-1 Vasco da Gama/RJ
    18.09.2002 D1 Vasco da Gama 1-2 Santos FC/SP
    02.12.2001 D1 Santos FC/SP 2-2 Vasco da Gama/RJ

Conclusions: I think the home team miss much of the players who did not participate in this game. Many absences and the team has no players from the same technical level to do all these substitutions. Surely the home team this football featuring a lower than hoped, will have many difficulties to get a good result in this game.

The staff Santos team seems to be living a better time if they win this game, the possibility of winning the championship is more real. The team has a better cast santosfc for replacement players during the match.
The new coach of the team wants to show a good job with good results to try to keep as head coach of the team until the end of the season.

The best striker in the team is very willing to show the public that deserved to be called for selection of Brazil, regardless of the disagreement with former coach and wants to show everyone that there not are more disagreements in the team because of him as was reported in the press sports. A slight improvement in his behavior can be seen in recent games after the incident.

I can not imagine the home team, with so many players missing, get a good result against a team that has more real chances of winning the championship.
I think if anything happens wrong, against everything that I imagined for this game, there will be a draw. If this happens, odds are on our side and not lose this game.
I am choosing a more complete team, with more chances of being champion, who has more individual talent, that is at a better time and will play against a team that under normal circumstances not present a good football. Imagine having all these losses of players.

    Pick: Santos pk and +0,5@ 1,88 (3X)
