The Ed Carpenter cars (#21 Veekay/#33 Carpenter) and Jimmie Johnson had the fastest 3 non-tow laps (Jimmie stands out a LOT)
Then you head to the overall laps, Sato ripped an insane lap during the end of happy hour at 228.93mph to finish P1 overall vs Dixon at 227.76mph
Guess who was 3rd overall? Jimmie Johnson...again at 227.72mph
Overall, what I take away from today is currently the CGR cars are the best, no question about it. Andretti cars look a bit lost, Penske was taking a safer approach today as things got a little wild in the last 30 minutes
Arrow McLaren, kinda mixed
Dreyer and Reinbold were not as impressive today but everyone has their own motives in practice, it's more about the car and figuring it out. They know they have fast cars but think they were dialing it in today more than trying to rip fast laps
I hope practice doesn't get rained out tomorrow, but it doesn't look good
