This thread is completely wrong. Gamblers (the losing ones which is about 99%) are not cheap, they are just very bad with money and can't afford things most of the time. These gamblers are far from cheap when they win or have money because they are very bad with money. When these guys hit big once in a while or go on lucky streak, they will almost always over tip and if they manage to cash out they would end up overspending on extravaganzas.

Now the 1 % who wins are grinders and are very good with money. These are the ones that you can label as cheap. They will try to find value in everything from lines (odds) to what they buy in terms of goods and services. And these guys also tip very small even if they hit it big.

Moral of the post is that the 1% are the ones doing it right.
