I'm generally curious: why do people care so much about hit and runners? I remember talking to several heads up specialists about that very concept back in the day, and most of them said they love playing against hit and runners. Why? Because basically someone who wins a little and then runs, well they take a tiny amount off you. But once such a person gets behind a little they naturally try to get back to even or to a little positive. And eventually they are not able to and then they donate a huge chunk to you while trying to do so.

In essence, anyone who hits and runs consistently either wins a small amount or loses a big amount - not the best of risk/reward strategies. So given that, what's the downside to playing such a person?
