That term is used to discredit truth, seems to work very well and prevent people from learning the truth.

It's a very powerful term, and many people are scared to be called a conspiracy theorist, therefore may not actually seek the truth.

You can't dismiss something because you think it's a conspiracy theory. You should, in fact, spend more time studying these things than things that are not called such. It's like covering something with dirt, it doesn't mean it disappears, it just means that there's work to do to find it.
