bobby, it'd be nice if SBR did something along those lines, but unfortunately, we'll never see that because from SBR's narrow viewpoint, pts sitting in a Stiff's dormant account are pts never to be used/redeemed. A win for them.

A strong argument could be made, however, that by doing what you suggest, an official overall "tone" and policy for the site (directly from management) would be concretely established that NO STEALING/FRAUD OF POINT CURRENCY WILL BE ALLOWED... PERIOD.

How would this be in SBR's best interest in the long run?... thus trumping the fact SBR gets to keep the points and the person ripped off doesn't get them --- well, a number of ways, actually, but let's just pick a glaring one right off the top of our heads:

By setting that official policy, SBR would engender that most important of commodities... "The Benefit of the Doubt" (that they don't tolerate *any* fraud or even any hint of it, even down to betpoints). The Benefit of the Doubt is something SBR sure could have used in, oh, say the BeTIsLaNdS scandal, for instance. Pretty sure they took a harder financial hit from all those that left here b/c of THAT than the hit they might receive from losing some deadbeat point stiffs pts/offshore commission percentages. The point being: it firmly establishes, publicly, for all members, a *zero tolerance* for fraud. That would make most members very happy and would foster a confidence/belief in SBR.
