The Southern US is hockey country. Canada doesn't have real hockey teams or fans.

Tonroto has a huge advantage in operating revenue but nothing to show for it, it astonishes me that toronto hasn't won since 1967. The organization has grown fat and complacent. The fans keep buying tickets and getting nothing in return.

The younger organizations are smarter and more adaptable because they need to keep their fanbase happy or their revenue disappears. The revenue will never disappear in toronto unless the city gets a second team (which will never happen).
