Pistons turned down Jason Thompson and Carl Landry trade from Sacramento during the offseason because SVG wanted to see if he could coach Smith. Guess he knows now. Smith is shooting u41 TS% and u54% FT this season (first player in NBA history to do so). Detoit even as a horrible team is net +12PTS better when he's on the bench...he's that bad.

IDK if it's because he's played mostly out of position (which is what most squares automatically think) but there's been runs where he's played exclusively PF this season with the Pistons and he's still shit. Bad shot selection, opponents have best FG% at the rim against his defense.Pistons even cut this guy when they are what 5-23 and leading the tank?

Smith is a high risk gamble at best. He might completely destroy your teams chemistry and be epically bad or revert to Atlanta era relevance again. Also, Josh Smith would also be a horrible fit for the Cavs.
