America’s school kids have historically scored low on international assessment tests compared to other countries, which is often blamed on the diversity of the population and the high number of immigrants.

The top 5 countries mentioned in the articles have a much more homogenous population.

The top five scores in the areas were from Japan, Finland, Australia, Sweden and Norway
It would be interesting to see the results with only white American scores included in the data. Go back to 1964 and I believe the U.S. would be near the top, not today though.

The education system in America has since been so compromised by political correctness and dumbed down by minorities I doubt the ranking would improve much even by factoring out the blacks and browns because whites today are as ignorant as their black and brown peers.

One only has to read the postings on SBR to confirm this. 95% of the people who post here are ignorant and the demographic is predominately white. The overwhelming majority of whom can't write, spell, use proper grammar and possess not even the most elementary analytical skills.

So yeah the study is spot on. If anything it is likely being too generous to the United States. Very sad.
