Both "Journalists" deserve to be fired.
I have served on Grand Juries about 6 times in NYC in my life. Very rewarding experience. While there are some differences with Missouri law, such as number of Jurors, the gist of the Grand jury functions are the same. There was nothing out of the ordinary with the Wilson Grand Jury. There was nothing wrong with how that Grand Jury operated. There were many times where we did not return an indictment, even if the prosecutor wanted one. There were many times where we did hear from the defendant. We did not serve as a rubber stamp. We asked for additional evidence when we thought it was warranted. The folks saying all a Grand Jury is supposed to do is indict and send every case before them to Trial is incorrect.
