It seems like rock music is pretty much dead, and has been for quite some time. But it wasn't always that way. It seems like only yesterday you could look forward to a new album every couple months or so that you just knew was gonna be killer. When I reminisce about the days when great bands were around every corner, and quality new music was spreading like wildfire, I have to give the nod to the years 1991-1995 as the best five years ever.

Below I've gone through each one of those years and listed five noteworthy albums. Obviously there are plenty of great bands/albums that aren't featured here but I didn't want to compile an exhaustive list that included everything..... But these are some of the ones I'm partial to and became fairly successful records in their time.

1991 (Arguably the single greatest year....the following albums are touchstone classics)
