i can see college athletes doing some point shaving because they dont get any money

but even then i believe that it evens out, people are on the fix just as much as they are on the other side

Sports Mushroom is pretty much dead-on here...Games are NOT fixed...I am shocked how many people think they are...I have several coworkers who are convinced EVERY Pro and College game is fixed...And there is no changing their minds...

Degenerate and/or unrealistic sports gamblers have to blame losing their money on something, so it's because the game is fixed whenever they lose...But somehow, every game they win is because they are a TERRIFIC handicapper...

And the Cliff Notes version on Tim Donaghy is this: He did not fix games...He gave out information before games that "wasn't allowed" to be given out at the time...He gave out who the referees were hours before the games started and that wasn't allowed then although it's funny, because ever since the Donaghy issues, the NBA now gives this info out daily...And Donaghy gave this info out to, let's say, unsavory characters and his association with these unsavory characters is what got him in trouble, but he was NOT "fixing games"...

Sure, at the college level, you will find random points shaving incidents every 5 years or so, but these games are not "fixed", these are some kids attempting to fix games and there is a difference and they pretty much always get caught because there are safeguards in place to monitor "strange" line moves in Vegas and abroad because the last thing Sportsbooks want is to have "fixed" games because they don't want to scare off the gamblers...They want to take your money all day long...They want all the idiots who think they can handicap to keep losing all their money at their Sportsbooks so they do NOT want any games to be fixed...They don't want to give all the idiots who keep losing money any reason to be scared off continuing to bet...

If any idiot out there truly believes that games are fixed, then that idiot needs to stop gambling immediately...Because if you are stupid enough to believe that Pro & College games are "fixed", then why on God's green earth would you compound your own stupidity by betting on all of these "fixed" games?????...
