I'm in again with another of Pinny's patented impossible-to-tail plays
(and yes, Patricia...those three words before the thumbs-up emoticon SHOULD indeed be hyphenated because they are acting here as one single word ...in this case as an adjective modifying the noun "plays")...this three-hyphenated-word (look!...he just did it again!) adjective could be replaced by the single-word (again?...mom, tell him to stop!!!) adjective "fraudulent".
This now-usually-ignored-yet-technically-correct practice (wow!, SIX words fused together with hyphens that time to form one compound-word adjective)...is how it SHOULD be punctuated, whether your dumbed-down educators were aware of it/taught it/insisted upon it or not...
The now-widespread failure to properly hyphenate semantically-inextricable chunks of words creates the illusion that it is incorrect when it is indeed properly done and, in fact, technically preferable to the currently popular type-as-you-talk technique (responsible for such common abominations as "YOUR right" and "I SHOULD OF checked the injury list first!" which are far worse than the merely-unfortunate demise of compound-word recognition and hyphenation).
