#518. Take Under 195.5 Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Hornets (Monday @ 8pm est).

These two teams are defensive teams at heart. With Golden State being just a 3 point favorite on the road at New Orleans, and the public being on State to a tune of 70%+, look for this New Orleans to be an active underdog and likely win this game Outright. But, rather than take a wager against a team who needs to make the playoffs, I like the Under here between these two teams this evening. If you notice, the last time these two teams met in January, the total went up as high as 228. Now, when these two teams meet, the total is at a modest 195.5. Look for New Orleans to play their physical style of defense at home and for this game to have a more defensive tone to it. Note that when State played Philadelphia, the final score added up to 201 and when the played Boston, the total added up to 180. New Orleans returns home from losing a 3 game road trip and I suspect they will look to rebound at home especially on the defensive front. The short line indicates that they are expected to be a good underdog here at home and to do well today and usually New Orleans does that through their defense at home.

#2. New York Rangers -145 vs. Carolina (Monday @ 7:05 pm est)Rick Nash is the most important addition to the New York Rangers and arguably the best player to change NHL teams this offseason and the ?Blue Shirts? hope he is the final piece to the Cup Puzzle. The "Blue Shirts" have all the faith in goalie, Henrik Lundqvist, the talented Swede that he will respond beneath the bright lights of the "Big Apple" on a nightly basis as solving his mastery in between the pipes is never easy. The Rangers are (16-5) in their last (21) Monday games as they return home to Madison Square Garden, New York, New York where they lost their previous game. The Hurricanes are (0-5) in the last (5) meetings and just (5-12-1) in the last (18) meetings in New York.
