Which begs a question....

if everyone agrees, both climate change supporters and climate change skeptics, that developing cleaner/renewable energy should be a top priority, then why are we still spending billions of dollars a year trying to prove global warming exists?

It's not that complicated. It's the same reason the folks who end up becoming environmentalists have small penises and girlfriends who don't shave their pits.
